Support news: FotoFusion launch issues & slowdown caused by Microsoft security products

Hello Everyone,
There have been several questions recently regarding a slowdown when using FF on Windows machines. This may occur if you running Security Essentials (Windows 7) or Windows Defender (Windows 8&10), Microsoft’s two antivirus applications. A recent update of these antivirus applications has caused FotoFusion to slow to a crawl or not launch at all. This isn’t exclusive to FotoFusion, but to other software as well.

To resolve this issue, this please add C:/ProgramData/Lumapix to the list of exclusions within Security Essentials / Defender as shown in the attached video. After making the change, reboot your system and try relaunching FotoFusion. FotoFusion should one again respond normally.
